Coastal Designs was recreated by the owner in the year 2020 from the original concept he had from the 80's in South Florida (stores from Vero to Ft. Lauderdale)...but this is not your Grandmother's Rattan!

We have rattan pieces for your Living Room, Dining Room, or any room in your home. High quality rattan is also eco-friendly, which is so important in this modern world. The rattan you will find at Coastal Designs is directly imported from Indonesia, which is one of the only places in the world that produces Rattan certified by the "Forestry Stewardship Council" or F.S.C.

In addition to rattan, Coastal Designs has wicker, wood and iron furniture, offered at wholesale pricing. You can create the look you want without paying the high prices that may have kept you from investing in Rattan furniture before. We have chairs and tables with hip Mid-century Modern Style, but haven't left out those Classic pieces you may be looking for. We offer Custom Design Services! If you haven't been able to find a piece that is exactly what you envision, we can make that happen. All of our products are handmade and crafted with attention to detail. All pieces are finished without the use of mechanical tools. Our pieces are so unique that no two are identical, offering you the satisfaction of knowing that no one else has the exact same furniture as you. Due to the crafting process,, there may be a slight difference in size and color.

Taking Care of Your Furniture

As mentioned above, rattan furniture is easy to maintain and extremely durable, so it will seldom require cleaning to keep it looking fresh. We suggest a monthly cleaning, as a best practice to keep your furniture looks its best.

• To clean your rattan furniture, all you will need is water and a small amount of dishwashing soap. Mix the water and the soap in a bucket and dip in a cloth, once thoroughly rung out gently wipe the furniture with the damp cloth. You can even use a small soft brush, like a toothbrush, or other type of cleaning brush to get into the grooves and crevices of the furniture.
• If your furniture has sustained damage, we recommend treating immediately. You can simply use furniture oil, linseed oil and apply it to the damaged area which will help to return the moisture to the area and improve the appearance.
• Dust Removal – Rattan furniture is great at avoiding dust accumulation, however if you find your pieces have gathered a bit of dust you can vacuum with them with the brush attachment.
